What does 100% engagement mean?

100% engagement means that we desire everyone who calls Vale Church home to lean in and prayerfully discern what it means to be fully engaged in what God is calling us to do during this season. We pray that the Be a Pillar journey leads people into deeper engagement with God, His Word, and with one another during this season and beyond. Our prayer is that we will be "all in" – or 100% engaged – on letting God work in our hearts so He can continue working in us and through us in this season.

What is Vale going to do with the money?

During these 2 years, every gift given to Vale Church will be used for ongoing ministry, construction of the Next Generation Building & the Heart of Illinois Initiative to invest in the vision God has given us for the future.

Question 3

What is the difference between giving to Be a Pillar vs. regular tithe and offerings?

Accepted Answer

In short, there is no difference. The Be a Pillar initiative is a two-year journey from April 2026 to April 2028. During these two years, every gift given to Vale will be used to both continue our ongoing ministries and invest in the vision God has given us for the future. Both priorities will be part of a single budget set by the Vale Leadership Team in response to commitments we make during the Be a Pillar initiative. So, when you give your tithe & offerings to Vale Church, you are giving to Be a Pillar.

How do I give to Be a Pillar?

Every tithe and offering given during this two-year journey goes toward the Be a Pillar initiative. You can give online at vale.church/giving or through the Vale Church app. Wall boxes are also available at all our locations near the auditorium doors if you prefer to give with a check or cash. If mailing a check, please send it to: Vale Church, Attn: Finance Team, 3211 Ireland Grove Rd, Bloomington, IL 61704.

Question 5

Are there additional ways I can give besides cash?

You may want to donate stocks or mutual funds or give through a QCD (qualified charitable distribution) from your IRA. Or you may have stored resources that God has blessed you with in the past that He might be calling you to give during this time. For gifts of stock or mutual funds, giving instructions are available on the commitment page. Please let us know if you need assistance with gifts from stocks, mutual funds or IRA distributions.
